6 Finger-Lickin’ BBQ Joints in Myrtle Beach That’ll Make You a Regular

Real-deal Southern barbecue you’ll keep coming back for. There’s something about Southern BBQ that just hits different—maybe it’s the smoke, maybe it’s the sauce, maybe it’s the deep-fried hush puppies you keep telling yourself are a side dish and not dessert. Either way, Myrtle Beach and the surrounding area bring the heat when it comes to barbecue. Whether you’re elbow-deep in brisket or building a buffet plate so tall it defies physics, these six BBQ joints serve up saucy goodness that’s worth the trip (and the inevitable nap after). Full Belly BBQ Mrtle Beach Don’t let the strip-mall exterior fool you—Full Belly BBQ is slinging some of the heartiest, smokiest meats in the Grand Strand. Known for their slow-cooked brisket and saucy ribs that fall off the bone like they’ve got better places to be, this Carolina Forest gem is beloved by locals. The deviled egg potato salad and smoked mac & cheese might be sides, but they definitely steal the show. It’s the kind of no-frills joint where the food does the talking—and boy, is it loud. Location: 154 Sapwood Drive Suite 101, Myrtle Beach, SC Moe’s Original BBQ Myrtle Beach & Pawley’s Island Southern charm meets beachy chill at Moe’s, where Alabama-style BBQ gets a Lowcountry twist. Their smoked pork and fried catfish come out hot and humble, paired with cornbread and soul-soothing sides that taste like your grandma’s been working overtime. The vibe? Total front-porch energy—laid-back, screened-in, and always ready for a cold beer. It’s the perfect pitstop after a day on the water or, you know, pretending you did something productive. Locations: 6108 North Kings Highway, Myrtle Beach, SC 12827 Ocean Highway, Pawleys Island, SC Simply Southern Smokehouse Myrtle Beach  If the words “buffet” and “BBQ” together don’t make your stomach growl, check your pulse. Simply Southern Smokehouse serves an all-you-can-eat Southern spread that’s equal parts feast and nostalgia trip. Think pulled pork, fried chicken, collards, and chicken and dumplings that taste like Sunday at Meemaw’s. It’s warm, it’s welcoming, and it’s the kind of place where nobody’s judging how many trips you make to the buffet line (because we all stopped counting after round three). Location: 1913 Mr. Joe White Avenue, Myrtle Beach, SC Swig & Swine Myrtle Beach If barbecue is a religion, Swig & Swine is where you go to worship. With hardwood-smoked brisket, house-made sausage, and collards that pack a punch, this place doesn’t mess around. The Broadway Street location feels modern without losing its down-home roots—think butcher paper trays, craft beers on tap, and an unmistakable scent of oak smoke hanging in the air like a promise. Bonus: the portions are as generous as your Southern grandma during the holidays. Location: 525 Broadway Street, Myrtle Beach, SC Sweet Carolina’s Myrtle Beach Located smack dab in the middle of Broadway at the Beach, Sweet Carolina’s is a BBQ-lovers haven that also keeps the seafoodies happy. Sure, their ribs and brisket are dreamy, but don’t sleep on the shrimp and grits or gumbo either. It’s a Southern sampler platter in restaurant form, complete with picnic tables and a big ol’ helping of Southern hospitality. Great for groups, tourists, or anyone who can’t decide between land or sea. Location: 1207 Celebrity Circle, Myrtle Beach, SC Bar-B-Que House Surfside Beach & North Myrtle Beach For a taste of tradition with just the right amount of quirk, Bar-B-Que House delivers. This beloved local chain knows its way around a smoker, with chopped pork, ribs, and brisket that practically beg for one of their signature sauces. Bonus: the hush puppies are hot, crispy, and highly addictive. Locations: 6007, 1205 US-17 BUS, Surfside Beach, SC1561 Hwy 17 North, North Myrtle Beach, SC

Score the Best Secondhand Steals at These 8 Vintage Markets in Myrtle Beach

From flea finds to designer deals, here’s where to thrift like a pro in the Grand Strand Call it what you want—vintage, thrift, antique, upcycled—but shopping secondhand is officially the ultimate guilt-free pastime. You’re saving the planet and scoring one-of-a-kind finds your friends can’t just “add to cart.” Myrtle Beach isn’t just beaches and buffets; it’s a paradise for the patient treasure hunter, packed with flea markets, antique galleries, and resale shops that are absolutely worth digging into (pun very much intended). Whether you’re on the hunt for retro vinyl, quirky knick-knacks, or a gently-used designer handbag, these eight spots have your secondhand shopping dreams covered. Hudson’s Surfside Flea Market This open-air institution has been around since 1975, and if you haven’t spent a Saturday sifting through its 400+ vendor booths, are you even a local? Expect everything from old-school tools to costume jewelry to handmade candles and beachy décor. Bonus: It’s dog-friendly, so bring your furry thrifting sidekick. Come for the kitsch, stay for the kettle corn. Location: 1040 US-17 BUSINESS, Surfside Beach, SC  Grand Strand Vendor Mall Imagine a mall but make it vintage. With five massive, air-conditioned buildings totaling 80,000 square feet, this is Myrtle’s largest indoor flea market—and possibly its most chaotic in the best way. From wigs and vape juice to antique glassware and vintage vinyl, this place is part time capsule, part fever dream. You might come in for a souvenir tee and leave with a lava lamp, a birdhouse, and a bucket of taffy. Location:  1490 South Kings Highway, Myrtle Beach, SC Vintage Market Days of Coastal Carolina Mark your calendars, vintage fans—this upscale market is a seasonal event (next one’s Oct. 3–5, 2025) and it’s worth planning for. Think of it as Coachella for people who love distressed barn doors and boutique candles. You’ll find antique furniture, handmade home décor, and edible goodies like gourmet pickles and sweet treats. It’s curated, it’s Insta-ready, and it’s got air plants in macramé hangers galore. Location: 2115 Sports Center Way, Myrtle Beach, SC  Peddler’s Place Don’t let the size fool you—this 5,000-square-foot vendor market packs in more charm per square foot than most places twice its size. If you’re looking for vintage kitchenware, hand-painted signs, or that perfect quirky gift, this is your spot. It’s got a true “little bit of everything” vibe, and the regulars? They know their stuff. You’ll likely overhear someone explaining the provenance of a Depression glass plate while you’re there. Location: 9380 SC-707, Myrtle Beach, SC  Coast to Coast Antiques Gallery This is the place for serious collectors and casual browsers alike. Open since 1984, Coast to Coast is like a time capsule, with rooms full of estate jewelry, rare books, records, and even vintage tools (because yes, that’s a thing). It’s not flashy, but it is authentic—perfect for those who get a thrill from flipping through dusty crates and finding an original Bowie LP or Art Deco brooch. Location: 2608 South Kings Highway, Myrtle Beach, SC Retro Active Tucked into Broadway at the Beach, Retro Active is your go-to for a nostalgia hit. This isn’t your grandma’s antique store—unless your grandma was into Funko Pops, John Hughes movies, and collectible lunchboxes. It’s a celebration of all things ’70s, ’80s, and ’90s, from vintage tees to quirky gifts that would make Lisa Frank proud. Pop culture junkies, prepare to lose an hour here easily. Location: 1200 Celebrity Circle #210, Myrtle Beach, SC Fabulous Finds Designer Resale If “secondhand” to you means “Chanel on consignment,” then head to Fabulous Finds. This boutique resale shop specializes in gently used designer pieces and has a curated selection that rivals high-end department stores. Expect to see brands like Kate Spade, Lilly Pulitzer, and Dooney & Bourke—at prices that won’t require you to explain your shopping decisions to your bank account later. Location: 1906 Highway 17 South, North Myrtle Beach, SC Connie’s New To You Half cozy consignment shop, half curated treasure trove. Connie’s New To You is where locals score vintage furniture, seasonal décor, quirky collectibles, and the occasional antique gem. Bonus points for the in-store coffee shop—because thrifting is better with caffeine. Location: 3986 US-17, Murrells Inlet, SC Secondhand Never Looked So Good Whether you’re chasing a specific collectible or just wandering with a coffee in hand and an open mind, the secondhand scene in Myrtle Beach is thriving—and refreshingly unpretentious. These shops and markets are full of stories, character, and the occasional hidden gem. So next time you’re in the mood to shop, skip the mall and go hunt for something with a past—and maybe, a future in your living room.

Myrtle Beach Is Country 24/7 and CCMF Is the Proof

Boots, booze, and a beachfront stage—this is what summer in the South looks like https://www.youtube.com/embed/5UTgRtCSZrY%20title= From June 5–8, Myrtle Beach goes full country and not the kitschy kind. We’re talking four days of live music, oceanside sunsets, and a sea of cowboy hats along 18 acres of beachfront real estate. 2025 marks the 10th anniversary of CCMF, and it’s going to be a blowout. The fest kicks off with its Thursday Night Kick-Off Concert and rolls through a weekend of nonstop music on multiple stages, including the Coors Light Main Stage and Bluemoon Sound Stage. The Lineup Brings the Fire—and Then Some If you came for big names, you’re in luck. Headliners include Kid Rock, Jelly Roll, Lainey Wilson, Rascal Flatts, Brantley Gilbert, Chris Young, and Chase Rice. Oh, and just to keep things spicy, The Beach Boys are performing, too. With over 40 artists on the bill—including rising stars like Dylan Gossett and Priscilla Block—CCMF blends genre-hopping legends with the best of today’s country. No matter your playlist, there’s someone here you’re going to lose your voice singing along to. Eat, Drink, and Two-Step on Repeat Food and booze are a sport at CCMF. With 15+ vendors, expect everything from pulled pork sandwiches and spicy tacos to frozen daiquiris and Southern-fried snacks. Bars are everywhere, and your RFID wristband doubles as your wallet—meaning no lost cards and no excuses to skip that next round. Don’t forget to register your wristband early and jump on the waitlist for any last-minute ticket drops. VIP and GA passes are hot commodities for a reason. Dress Loud, Party Proud, and Don’t Skip the Clean-Up Each night comes with a theme (Coastal Cowgirl, USA, and Camo), so yes, you’re going to need outfit changes. And while it’s easy to go hard for four days, CCMF makes space for giving back. Sunday morning’s World Oceans Day Beach Clean-Up is a feel-good pause button—and a nice reset before doing it all over again next year. Gloves, trash bags, and good karma included. Myrtle Beach Is the Main Character This town doesn’t pretend to go country for a weekend. Myrtle Beach is country—loud, proud, and full of life. From the music to the boardwalk to the crowd that shows up year after year, CCMF has become a must-do pilgrimage for Southern soul searchers and beach-loving boot wearers. Whether you’re here for the music, the vibe, or just a reason to wear fringe unironically, one thing’s for sure: once you’ve done CCMF, there’s no going back.

From splash zones to beachfront perks, these resorts know exactly how to keep kids entertained—and parents off lifeguard duty. Sometimes family vacations can feel more like logistical boot camps with sand. But these five Myrtle Beach resorts? They’re the kind of places that make everyone (yes, even the adults) happy to be there. Think waterslides, lazy rivers, full kitchens, and in one case, a legit bowling alley. You’re about to become the hero of your own vacation story. Island Vista Resort This one’s for families who like things a little quieter but still want the option to cannonball. Island Vista is tucked away from the chaos, and it’s giving upscale-meets-chill. There are two oceanfront pools, a lazy river, and a kiddie splash zone with a mushroom fountain. Indoors? Heated pool, hot tubs, and even more lazy river. Bonus: The on-site Cypress Room restaurant means fewer “Do we have to leave the resort?” debates. Location: 6000 North Ocean Boulevard, Myrtle Beach, SC Holiday Inn Club Vacations Myrtle Beach Oceanfront Resort What if your vacation came with in-suite laundry and a full kitchen? This is the spot. The Holiday Inn Club setup is all about space and convenience. The kids get a splash pad, beachfront pool, and activity center. You get poolside cabanas and a firepit for those sweet, marshmallowy evenings. The vibe? Polished, practical, and genuinely relaxing. Location: 3090 Springmaid Boulevard, Myrtle Beach, SC North Beach Resort & Villas This place is basically a waterpark with a check-in desk. There’s a Caribbean-style pool complex with a lazy river, swim-up bar, and way too many hot tubs to count. Families can pick between roomy villas or oceanfront condos. When you’re not bobbing in the water, there’s a spa and gym for grown-up time. It’s giving resort-with-range energy. Location: 719 North Beach Boulevard. Suite 3 North Myrtle Beach, SC The Ellie Beach Resort Let’s talk numbers: five pools, three waterslides, and endless ways to wear your kids out (in the best way). The Ellie Beach Resort throws in mini-golf, fishing, and a walking path to the Springmaid Pier for bonus points. Hungry? There’s waterfront dining on-site, because dragging kids to a dinner reservation is nobody’s idea of a good time. Location: 3200 South Ocean Boulevard, Myrtle Beach, SC  Captain’s Quarters Resort This place goes all in. Captain’s Quarters has its own kids’ waterpark, two lazy rivers, and indoor and outdoor pools galore. But the real showstopper? A 20-lane bowling alley and an arcade, all on property. The Grand Strand’s Newest Arrivals, Reopenings, and Ones to Watch

From icy treats to inland wineries, these 11 fresh spots are ready to shake up your regular routine New season, new favorites. Whether you’re into sipping wine with a view, exploring coastal cafés, or uncovering creative gems tucked just off the main drag, the Grand Strand’s latest lineup of openings (and reopenings) is calling. From debut restaurants and cozy bistros to bold new concepts and what’s still to come, here are 11 fresh reasons to explore the area from top to bottom. Cape Fear Seafood Company North Myrtle Beach – Opened in 2024 Cape Fear Seafood Company brings elevated Southern coastal fare to North Myrtle Beach with a menu that’s all about fresh ingredients and comforting, familiar flavors. From seared scallops to shrimp and grits, each dish is crafted with care and just the right amount of finesse. The space strikes a balance between upscale and unpretentious, making it just as suited for a casual lunch as it is for a celebratory dinner. Bin 2004 North Myrtle Beach – Opened in 2024 Bin 2004 is the kind of wine bar that makes you want to stay awhile. With a carefully curated global wine list, seasonal tasting flights, and a shareable menu of charcuterie, flatbreads, and small plates, it’s the perfect spot to unwind. The vibe is polished but never stuffy—ideal for date night, girls’ night, or a solo evening with a glass of something really good. Barn View Winery Loris – Opened Late 2024 You don’t need to head west to get your vineyard fix. Barn View Winery just opened on 75 sprawling acres in Loris, serving up small-batch, European-style wines with plenty of country charm. Live music on the weekends and uninterrupted views of the countryside make this a worthy detour from the beach crowd. Burky’s Grill Myrtle Beach – Reopened in 2025  Back from the ashes—literally—Burky’s has reopened after a fire shut it down in 2023. The good news? The chili dogs, shakes, and mid-century diner charm you loved are all still here. The better news? Now you can relive your childhood lunch order in a place that smells faintly like nostalgia and fresh fries. Uptown Bistro & Bakery Myrtle Beach – Now Open Equal parts stylish and comforting, Uptown Bistro & Bakery brings all-day charm to Myrtle Beach. Whether you’re easing into a solo pastry-and-coffee moment or catching up over brunch, the vibe is all soft lighting, thoughtful dishes, and just enough whimsy to make you want to linger. Don’t skip the house-baked pastries—your sweet tooth will thank you. Santorini Greek Kuzina Myrtle Beach – Now Open The islands are calling—and they’re headed to Myrtle Beach. Santorini Greek Kuzina is bringing fresh Mediterranean flavors, grilled seafood, and breezy, minimalist design to the area. It’s not open just yet, but keep this one on your radar. You’ll want to be first in line for souvlaki by summer. Pierogi House Market Common – Coming Soon in 2025 Polish dumplings are about to have their moment. Pierogi House is setting up shop in the former Capriotti’s space and promises a menu full of comfort classics—like grandma used to make (if your grandma was Polish and a professional chef). It’s a unique addition to the Market Common scene—and yes, we’ll be ordering the potato and cheese. MISC Murrells Inlet – Reopened in 2025 Creative chaos is back in Murrells Inlet. MISC has flung its doors wide open again, and the treasure hunt is officially on. From curated gifts to quirky art and all the random must-haves you didn’t know you needed, no two visits feel the same—which is exactly the point. Sloppy Jose’s Cantina & Seafood Grill Murrells Inlet – Now Open Tacos and tequila on the MarshWalk? Say less. Sloppy Jose’s is the first Mexican-inspired spot to open in the area, bringing spicy Latin flavor to your usual inlet seafood rotation. With live music, laid-back vibes, and marsh views, it’s tailor-made for nights that don’t need an agenda—just good friends and one more round. Sunset Slush Pawleys Island – Now Open A fixture at festivals and markets, Sunset Slush has made it official with a brick-and-mortar spot in Pawleys Island. The new shop means no more chasing them down for that sweet, icy treat—just swing by and cool off with your favorite Italian ice flavors. Bonus: now there’s air conditioning, shade, and actual chairs—because being sticky and standing is not a vibe. Tide to Table Pawleys Island – Opened Late 2024 Ocean views? Check. Local seafood? Double check. This new Pawleys Island eatery is giving coastal cuisine a Lowcountry twist, with a seasonal, sea-to-fork menu and an atmosphere built for breezy dinners and beachy cocktails. Don’t sleep on the adjoining beach bar either—it’s all sand, sips, and scenic vibes

From roaring engines to beachside brews, here’s why bikers coast to Myrtle every year

Rev Your Engines: Why Myrtle Beach Bike Week Is the Ultimate Ride or Die

From roaring engines to beachside brews, here’s why bikers coast to Myrtle every year Back in 1940, when a gallon of gas cost 18 cents and a Harley was the crown jewel of the open road, a few motorcycle die-hards cruised into Myrtle Beach for a weekend ride. What started as a casual meet-up on the Grand Strand has grown into one of the most iconic motorcycle rallies in the country—Myrtle Beach Bike Week. Now, more than 85 years later, the rumble of engines still rolls through South Carolina twice a year—louder, livelier, and definitely a bit more tattooed. Spring Rally: May 9–18, 2025 This is the headliner—the 86th Annual Spring Rally is ten full days of biker bliss. Riders from across the country descend on the Grand Strand to cruise, connect, and celebrate the open road. You’ll find vendor villages buzzing, stages shaking with live music, and a whole lot of leather making its annual debut from storage. The Spring Rally is Myrtle Beach at full throttle. If you’re only picking one to attend, this is it. Fall Rally: September 29–October 5, 2025 The Fall Rally is like your favorite dive bar on a Tuesday—fewer crowds, but all the charm. It’s a more relaxed, locals-heavy week that still brings out big rides, great food, and plenty of action. Think of it as the after-party that nobody wants to miss. For anyone who prefers cool breezes and easier parking, the Fall Rally is a sleeper hit. The Vibe Myrtle Beach Bike Week feels like a 50-mile block party where everyone’s in on the same inside joke. It’s loud, laid-back, and filled with stories that start with “This one time in Daytona…” There’s camaraderie around every corner, whether you’re fueling up your bike or grabbing a beer. Even if you’re not riding, the energy is magnetic. It’s a culture as much as it is an event. Where to Go You could spend all week hopping bars and never hit the same spot twice, but these rally staples are where the real magic happens: Murrells Inlet: This waterside village is rally headquarters. You’ll find seafood, biker bars, live music, and more chrome than a 1960s diner. Suck Bang Blow: The name’s a conversation starter, and the entertainment keeps it going. Known for burnout pits, live bands, and a “leave your ego at the door” vibe. The Beaver Bar: Expect packed nights, friendly faces, and a steady stream of country rock to keep your boots moving. Spokes and Bones: Vendors, food trucks, shaded seating, and family-friendly events. Yes, you can bring grandma—if she rides. Ocean Boulevard: Take a slow cruise down this scenic strip. It’s peak people-watching territory, and a great place to show off your shine. Scenic Rides Worth Your Fuel Sure, the parties are good—but the rides are why you come. Myrtle Beach offers coastal routes that deliver on both scenery and spirit. Murrells Inlet to Georgetown: A calm, scenic stretch past historic homes and moss-draped oaks. Ocean Boulevard: Cruise past the beach, shops, and crowds who wish they were you. Highway 17 to Charleston: It’s a longer trek, but the mix of rural roads, beach towns, and Lowcountry charm makes it a worthwhile day trip. Events to Mark on Your Rally Calendar Expect a packed schedule of: Custom bike shows Charity rides benefiting local organizations Concerts from local legends and traveling rockers Bikini contests, if that’s your thing Daily meetups and themed rides hosted by clubs and vendors You’ll also find plenty of food vendors, gear shops, and pop-up tattoo artists to make your rally experience unforgettable—and maybe a little permanent. Lodging, Laws, and Local Tips Where to Stay: Book early. Hotels and resorts along the Grand Strand fill up fast, and many offer special Bike Week rates. If you’re feeling adventurous, some riders opt for beachfront campgrounds or RV parks. Safety First: South Carolina requires helmets for riders under 21, but that doesn’t mean you should skip it. The roads can be packed, and a little extra protection never hurt. Local Insight: Be respectful. Not every Myrtle Beach local is a biker, but most are pretty welcoming. Be kind, tip your servers, and remember—you’re a guest in their beach town. Rally Wear: What to Pack Besides your riding gear and sunscreen (yes, even in May), throw in: A rally tee or two—available from dozens of local vendors A light jacket for evening rides along the coast Your favorite pair of worn-in boots—you’ll need them You’ll see everything from full leathers to Hawaiian shirts. Come as you are, just come ready to ride. Final Lap Whether you’re riding a Harley, a Honda, or just tagging along in flip-flops, Myrtle Beach Bike Week is an experience. It’s loud, it’s lively, and it’s a lot more heartfelt than the roar of engines lets on. Come for the rally. Stay for the ride. And don’t be surprised if you’re already planning next year’s return before you even pack up your saddlebags.
