A MESSAGE FROM OUR TEAM

Welcome to the April edition of Coastal Real Estate, and our second Market Common Edition. Within, we’re delighted to be able to share with you the monthly and annual real estate for the Market Common. As I reflect on this highly sought after neighborhood’s origins, I realize one thing has remained a constant, and indeed, a bedrock in its trajectory from Air Force base to upscale, urban beach-living environment— community. The Market Common is more than a location— it’s a lifestyle that isn’t easily matched in our market. One that rests on the wide array of people of all ages and backgrounds that it attracts, and the variety of activities that it offers. The years of the pandemic have created huge shifts in people’s lives and lifestyles nationwide; suddenly, what was once a popular community along the Grand Strand became one of the most sought-after areas in our market. We began to see more people from across the country opting to move here for the more relaxed pace of life, the beauty, and a greater sense of joy in everyday living. Spring and summer are traditionally the times when buyers scan the market in response to the increase in sellers listing real estate. But the Market Common is such a desirable place to live, there’s been a shortage of homes for sale, and an exponential growth in sales prices. In the past three years, the average resale price for single family homes has risen nearly 34%; from an average of $348,144 in 2020; to an average of $395,009 in 2021; to an average of $475,915 in 2022. In just three years, nearly twice as many resale single family homes have sold in the Market Common compared to 2019, with 119 homes sold, compared to 228 homes sold in 2021. If you’ve been considering selling your home in the Market Common for an upgrade or a change of pace, now is a great time to do it. We have a website that is exclusively dedicated to Market Common real estate— homesatmarketcommon.com. Once all phases of new construction are complete, Market Common will become a resale community, and there is no telling how much buyers will be willing to pay.

7 Reasons Salt & Honey Grill Is the Sweetest Thing to Happen to Myrtle Beach Brunch

A cozy-chic spot where breakfast meets high design, and pancakes get the five-star treatment https://www.youtube.com/embed/vMUj_qLKDrI%20title= Let’s get one thing straight: not all brunch spots are created equal. Some serve sad pancakes and call it a day. Others, like Salt & Honey Grill, show up dressed to impress—dripping in honey-themed elegance and serving up eggs with the same care you’d expect at a five-star hotel. Nestled along North Kings Highway in Myrtle Beach, this buzzy new eatery is more than just an Instagram moment. It’s cozy, it’s stylish, and it’s the kind of place where you’ll find yourself making excuses to “just grab a coffee” and wind up staying until lunch. Here’s why Salt & Honey Grill is the spot to brunch in Myrtle Beach: Location: 2800 North Kings Hwy, Myrtle Beach, SC This Place Is “Truly a Vibe”—And Then Some Step inside and you’ll instantly understand why people keep raving about the vibe. It’s not just a restaurant—it’s a warm hug wrapped in honeycomb light fixtures, sunflower accents, and chic gold flourishes. With high ceilings and a layout that feels both upscale and homey, it’s the kind of place where you can sip your latte and forget the rest of the world exists. Locals have compared the interior to a boutique hotel lobby—but with better pancakes. The Menu Hits That Sweet Spot Between Comfort and Culinary Brilliance Salt & Honey doesn’t do basic. Their menu takes brunch classics and elevates them just enough to feel special—but never pretentious. Think fluffy pancakes that taste like a Sunday morning should, eggs that are actually cooked to your liking, and a salmon Benedict that’s just fancy enough to make you feel like you’ve got your life together. Oh, and the coffee? Rich, smooth, and dangerously easy to drink. Service That Feels Like Home (But With Better Plating) The moment you walk in, you’re greeted like an old friend. The staff here doesn’t just serve food—they create a full-on feel-good experience. Reviewers frequently shout out the “welcoming and personable” team, and even on the busiest mornings, there’s a sense that your omelet—and your mood—are both being taken seriously. Pro tip: even if there’s a wait, hang tight. It’s worth it. It’s a Brunch Spot That Understands the Assignment (and Then Decorates It With Bees) Salt & Honey leans into its name in the best possible way. From the golden glow of the honeycomb chandeliers to subtle bee motifs in the bathroom (yes, even the bathroom is cute), the entire space feels intentional and on-brand. It’s tasteful, not theme-park-y—and yes, it makes the perfect backdrop for your brunch ‘gram. If brunch décor were a personality trait, Salt & Honey would be “sunny with a master’s degree.” Presentation That Tastes as Good as It Looks This isn’t the kind of place that slaps food on a plate and calls it a day. Everything arrives at your table looking like it just stepped out of a food stylist’s dream. Whether it’s a stack of pancakes, a juicy artisan breakfast, or a perfectly poached egg, the dishes here look just as good as they taste. It’s brunch with main character energy—and we’re here for it. Generous Portions That Won’t Leave You Hangry by Noon Let’s be honest: tiny-portioned “elevated” brunch spots are the worst. Thankfully, Salt & Honey serves hearty plates that don’t skimp. Guests routinely mention walking away satisfied, full, and maybe even planning their next visit before the check hits the table. It’s one of the rare places where you get both quality and quantity. And while a few reviews mention slightly overcooked steak here and there, the overwhelming vibe? Still five-star. You’ll Want to Stay All Morning (and Come Back Tomorrow) Open daily from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m., Salt & Honey Grill is designed for linger-worthy mornings and early-afternoon catch-ups. Whether you’re solo with a good book or catching up with your brunch besties, the laid-back-yet-luxe setting encourages you to stay awhile. Just make sure you arrive on the earlier side—this place fills up fast, and once you’re in, you won’t want to leave either. The Bottom Line Myrtle Beach might be packed with brunch spots, but Salt & Honey Grill is in a league of its own. Between the dreamy décor, soul-satisfying dishes, and stellar service, it’s not just a meal—it’s a mood. Whether you’re a local looking for your new go-to or a visitor craving something cozy with flair, this is one sweet spot you don’t want to miss.

8 Sports Bars in Myrtle Beach That Deserve a Spot in Your Football Season Lineup

From waterfront decks to wall-to-wall screens, these are the MVPs for catching every snap, sip, and spicy wing Let’s be honest—your fantasy league deserves better than your living room. When football season kicks off, Myrtle Beach bars turn up the volume, fire up the fryers, and start pouring beer like it’s fourth-and-goal. Whether you’re in it for college rivalries, NFL drama, or just an excuse to house a plate of wings on a Sunday, these eight sports bars are the ones to keep in your playbook. Each one brings something special to the table—literally and figuratively. Dagwood’s Deli & Sports Bar This isn’t just a sandwich shop—it’s a football-watching fortress. With over 50 TVs (some say 59+), including personal booth screens in NMB, Dagwood’s is where multitasking between subs and scoreboards becomes a sport of its own. You’ll find a dedicated game-day menu, energetic crowds, and zero judgment if you double down on the pastrami.  Why you’ll love it: There’s no such thing as a bad seat. Every game, every team, every screen—plus deli sandwiches that go harder than your tailgate spread. Location: 600 US-17 BUS, Surfside Beach, SC Buffalo Wild Wings You know the drill: 25+ sauces, countless screens, and full-throttle energy. BWW might be a chain, but during football season, it’s the unofficial headquarters for fantasy league smack talk and late-night touchdown celebrations. There’s ample parking, easy seating for groups, and the consistent comfort of knowing you can chase your boneless with an ice-cold tallboy without missing a single highlight. Why you’ll love it: Big chain, big games, big fun—perfect if your crew wants all the sports-bar basics done reliably right. Location: Myrtle Beach, Carolina Forest, North Myrtle Beach King Street Grille Polished, packed, and proud to be your “sports headquarters,” King Street Grille nails the upscale-bar-meets-game-day scene. Flat screens are everywhere (even on the patio), and specials rotate for college and NFL action—wings, nachos, beer buckets, you name it. The crowd’s always lively, and the dog-friendly patio with cornhole makes it a weekend win even before kickoff. Why you’ll love it: A bit more refined than your average sports bar—but still loud enough to scream at your QB for fumbling. Location: 3040 Howard Avenue, Myrtle Beach, SC Carolina Ale House If “TV-per-square-foot” was a stat, Carolina Ale House would be leading the league. With 50+ TVs and a cavernous layout that’s great for big groups, this place is a go-to for tourists and locals alike. Weekly promos like drink deals and jersey raffles keep things interesting, and the beer lineup (50+ on tap) is a clear flex. The massive patio bar doesn’t hurt either. Why you’ll love it: You’re surrounded by energy, options, and enough screens to catch a buzzer-beater in the corner of your eye. Location:  2938-3078 Hollywood Drive, Myrtle Beach, SC Handley’s Pub & Grub The definition of a neighborhood gem, Handley’s is where serious fans go to watch the game—not just shout over it. With 28 TVs, NFL Sunday Ticket, and a rotating selection of nearly 70 beers, it’s a haven for those who don’t want to miss a single down. Booths are cozy, the bartenders know your name, and the fish and chips are no joke. Why you’ll love it: Quiet enough to focus, lively enough to cheer—plus it feels like your favorite local pub back home. Location: 3873 Renee Dr, Myrtle Beach, SC The Grumpy Monk The Grumpy Monk isn’t just about the game—it’s about the beer. With dozens of craft brews, sushi rolls, and wings that have made the local best-of lists more than once, it’s got a hybrid vibe that somehow works: part sports bar, part gastro pub, part arcade (depending on location). Families love it. So do rowdy fans. Come for the happy hour, stay for the game. Why you’ll love it: For those who want their football with a side of Sapporo and a firecracker roll. Location: Carolina Forest, Myrtle Beach, and North Myrtle Beach Wiseguys Bar & Grill Don’t let the name fool you—Wiseguys is all heart. A true locals’ joint, this spot is known for its stellar liquor selection, comfort food (hot honey pizza, anyone?), and an unpretentious vibe that makes everyone feel like they’ve been coming there for years. Sunday Ticket? Check. Sliders and burgers? Absolutely. Late hours? You bet. Why you’ll love it: It’s the under-the-radar favorite with real-deal eats and a crowd that’s all about the game. Location: 2002 North Kings Highway, Myrtle Beach, SC Backyard Sports Bar & Grill This one’s a game-day fantasy. TVs are everywhere—inside, outside, behind the bar—and the back deck looks straight out over the Intracoastal. There’s live music during breaks, a sprawling food menu (ahi tuna nachos, street tacos), and enough happy hour specials to keep the rounds coming. Come early if you want that sunset seat—it goes fast. Why you’ll love it: For fans who like their football with a waterfront view and a live soundtrack. Location: 9703 N Kings Hwy, Myrtle Beach, SC

Downtown Conway Transforms Into South Carolina’s “City of Halloween”—Here’s What’s Coming This October

Start planning now—because once the pumpkins drop, Conway’s Halloween makeover becomes the most magical (and mildly spooky) event of the season. https://www.youtube.com/embed/0IF9ymdSEzU%20title= Conway, SC doesn’t just celebrate Halloween. It becomes Halloween. Every October, Downtown Conway rebrands itself as the “City of Halloween, South Carolina,” and if you’re picturing a Hallmark movie that had a lovechild with a Tim Burton film—you’re in the right mindset. This isn’t some half-hearted pumpkin patch situation. We’re talking a full-blown, city-backed, month-long Halloween spectacle with themed streetscapes, haunted decor installations, and signature events like ghost walks, wine tastings, and a golf cart parade. So if you want to see 3,000 pumpkins suspended in historic oak trees or get serenaded by spooky pirates down by the marina—you’d better start planning now. Here’s everything you need to know before the witches start flying. Conway’s “City of Halloween” Returns for 2025 Let’s start with the basics: Since 2022, the City of Conway has officially renamed itself each October to “The City of Halloween, South Carolina.” The mayor even signs a proclamation. It’s a citywide takeover—visible on signage, event branding, and even local merchandise. The goal? Turn Conway’s cozy, walkable downtown into a Halloween destination that brings people (and commerce) into the heart of the city. Spoiler: It works. In 2024, Conway saw more visitors in October than in December—and they’re upping the game again this year. Signature Sights You’ll See All Month Long Pumpkins in TreesConway’s most iconic Halloween installation? A dreamy (and a little eerie) pumpkin canopy. Nearly 3,000 orange pumpkins hang from the historic oak-lined streets downtown. At night, it glows. At golden hour, it’s a selfie dreamscape. The “Proclamation” Pirate ShipThis massive haunted pirate ship docked near the Conway Marina is a fan-favorite photo stop. Pro tip: visit at dusk for full spooky ambiance and prime content capture. Alley ActivationsThroughout October, themed alleyways come alive (or undead?) with immersive decorations. Expect returning faves like: Squeal Alley (yes, it lives up to the name) Tunnel of Bones Shiverwalk along the Riverwalk  Halloween MarketThis pop-up market features spooky vendors, artisan wares, creepy confections, and handmade décor—all sold from charming little vendor sheds that look like Halloween took over a Christmas village. Mark Your Calendars: 2025 Events You Can’t Miss Opening Night Kickoff In 2024, this included a costume parade, live music, and street-side fun. 2025 promises similar vibes. Be there when the city becomes Halloween—literally overnight. Golf Cart & CCU Homecoming Parade In 2024, it was held on October 19. The 2025 date is TBD (aligned with Coastal Carolina University’s homecoming week), but the parade route typically runs from Public Safety → 9th Ave → Laurel St → Marina Dr. Think: decked-out golf carts, students, floats, and candy flying through the air. Conway Ghost Walk A costumed, narrated, one-mile storytelling walk through the historic district. These professional ghost stories sell out every year, so don’t snooze. Witches, Wizards & WineA progressive wine tasting through downtown shops—where costumed adults sip, shop, and repeat. It’s festive, it’s fabulous, and it historically sells out faster than a PSL on a Monday. Decorations That Deserve Their Own Reel Skeleton Alley & Giant Skeletons Massive skeletons—some 12+ feet tall—loom along side streets and by the water tower. One is even decked out in disco tiles, serving as a haunted DJ. (Skeletons can boogie, FYI.) Life- Size Halloween CharactersSpotted in 2024: an 8-foot jack-o’-lantern, a mayor-as-wizard statue, and foam props so detailed they belong on a movie set. New surprises debut each year, so follow local pages for “the reveal.” Graveyard Scenes & Audio EffectsOne immersive setup mimics a haunted cemetery with creepy audio from The Exorcist. Chill-inducing in the best way. Local Vibes & Community Touches Decor by the PeopleWant to add to the display? Locals are encouraged to decorate foam pumpkins and drop them off at City Hall. You’ll see them suspended in trees or displayed downtown—each one different. Neighborhood HauntsShout-out to the Momyer family, local legends who transform their yard into a fog-filled clown spectacle. Their haunted home display is free and has become a seasonal staple. One Last Spell Before You Go Downtown Conway’s Halloween glow only lasts from October 1 to November 1—after that, the pumpkins disappear until next year. Decorations go up the first day of the month and come down right after Halloween night. So set those calendar alerts, dust off your costume, and get ready for one of the most creative, cozy, and camera-ready Halloween towns in the South. It’s spooky season, y’all. And Conway’s about to own it!!

5 Myrtle Beach Events to Ease You Into Fall (Without Giving Up the Fun)

From popcorn watch parties to bratwurst and block fests—this is exactly how you kick off fall on the coast. Just because the calendar says “fall” doesn’t mean we’re done soaking up the sun and sipping cold drinks on the coast. Myrtle Beach in September is kind of the best-kept secret—it’s still warm, the crowds have mellowed out, and the events? Pure gold. From fan-girl watch parties to food fests that’ll put your stretchy pants to the test, here’s what to hit this month. Celebrate Surfside Beach Festival When: Saturday, Sept. 13 Where: 3rd Avenue South to Surfside Drive This is small-town charm turned all the way up. Surfside’s signature street festival is all about community—and yes, that means face painting, food trucks, live music, and a few impromptu dance circles by the funnel cake stand. It’s free to attend and family-friendly, but still a blast if you’re kid-free and looking for a chill way to spend a Saturday. Show up hungry, wear comfy shoes, and don’t be surprised if you leave with a handmade candle and a new favorite cover band. The Summer I Turned Pretty Finale Party When: Wednesday, Sept. 17 at 7 PM Where: Voodoo Brewing Co. You’ve cried. You’ve chosen a team. And now, it’s time to say goodbye—at least until next season. This watch party is for anyone who’s fully emotionally invested in Belly’s love triangle. Hosted at Voodoo Brewing Co., expect themed cocktails, popcorn, and lots of squealing every time Conrad sighs. Come in your cutest coastal outfit, bring your fellow fangirls (or fanguys—we see you), and get ready to relive every teary, dreamy second on the big screen with your people. 2nd Annual Oktoberfest When: Saturday, Sept. 27 Where: Voodoo Brewing Co., Myrtle Beach Same brewery, totally different vibe. Oktoberfest at Voodoo is loud, lively, and just the right amount of ridiculous. Think beer cheese-drenched pretzels, people in lederhosen, and stein-holding contests that turn into full-blown crowd chants. Seasonal brews are on tap (hello, Oktoberfest Lager), and the patio will be decked out in full Bavarian flair. Bonus points if you show up dressed like a German snack. Irish Italian International Festival When: Saturday, Sept. 27 Where: Main Street, North Myrtle Beach Why choose between lasagna and shepherd’s pie when you can have both? This beloved cultural mashup brings together the best of Irish and Italian heritage—with all the carbs, culture, and chaos you could ask for. Two stages of live music, street performers, artisan vendors, and the kind of food that makes you wish you’d worn looser jeans. And don’t miss the spaghetti-eating contest if you’re into cheering on strangers stuffing their faces for glory. It’s free to attend, and draws a huge crowd—so arrive early and bring your appetite. 50th Annual Atalaya Arts & Crafts Festival When: Friday–Sunday, Sept. 26–28 Where: Atalaya Castle, Huntington Beach State Park If you only go to one arts festival this fall, make it this one. Set in a historic oceanfront castle (yes, castle), this three-day fest brings together more than 100 artists from across the Southeast. You’ll find everything from hand-blown glass to metal sculptures to paintings that’ll make you want to redecorate your entire living room. It’s calm, creative, and perfect for strolling with a drink in hand while soaking in the sea breeze. Admission is $10 for adults, but the views are priceless.

5 Smart Reasons to Book a Back-to-School Dental Checkup at South Strand Dental

Because Nothing Says “I’m Ready to Learn” Like a Clean, Confident Smile Let’s be honest—no one loves adding “dentist appointment” to their summer bucket list. But here’s the deal: squeezing in a checkup at South Strand Dental Associates before school starts is one of the smartest things you can do for your child’s health, confidence, and focus. And bonus: it’s way more chill than fighting for parking on the first day of school. Here’s why parents from Surfside Beach to Murrells Inlet are booking their back-to-school dental visits now: Avoid That “Emergency Call from the School Nurse” Moment South Strand Dental’s checkups are more than just a quick polish. Their preventative care team—think ADA-certified hygienists and seriously kind dentists—are pros at spotting small issues before they turn into pain, distraction, or that dreaded mid-week “come pick up your kid” phone call. A pre-school-year exam can catch cavities, sensitivity, or early gum issues before they become disruptions. A Clean Mouth Is A Clearer Mind We know that headaches, sore teeth, and even low-grade discomfort can mess with focus. Cleanings at South Strand remove all that sneaky plaque buildup and leave your child’s mouth feeling fresh, pain-free, and distraction-free. Hello, straight A’s (or at least fewer fidgety afternoons). Confidence That Starts With a Smile Let’s be real: school is basically a runway of first impressions—new teachers, new friends, maybe even a class photo before you can blink. A freshly cleaned smile from South Strand Dental gives kids and teens a subtle confidence boost. We’re talking natural, not showy—just the kind of glow that comes from feeling healthy and cared for. Summer Snacks, Meet Your Match From snow cones to beach boardwalk treats, summer can do a number on our enamel. South Strand offers fluoride treatments and personalized advice for brushing up those habits before lunchboxes return. They’ll even chat about sealants if your kiddo’s molars need extra protection (middle schoolers, this means you). Get Ahead of the Rush Here’s your insider tip: South Strand Dental books fast once August hits. Their Surfside Beach office is known for running on time, but back-to-school season fills up quickly. Schedule now, and you’ll beat the crowd—and maybe even snag one of those early morning appointments that leaves plenty of time for hitting the beach after. Local Bonus: They’re Super Close (and Super Friendly) Located at 1616 Azalea Drive in Surfside Beach, South Strand Dental has been serving families from Myrtle Beach to Conway since 1981. Their office is warm, welcoming, and has that rare combo of professional and personable. Multiple reviewers said they’ve been going there for over a decade—and their kids still don’t mind going back. That says a lot. Book Now, Breathe Easy Later Starting the school year with a clean bill of oral health is one of those “little things” that makes a big difference. South Strand Dental helps you check it off the list with less stress, more smiles, and genuinely expert care. Now that’s something to smile about. 📞 Call (843) 238‑5111 or visit southstranddental.com to schedule your back-to-school appointment today.

Inside the beach-town rhythm that turns lazy days and salty hair into a full-blown lifestyle.

The Summer I Stayed in Myrtle Beach

Inside the beach-town rhythm that turns lazy days and salty hair into a full-blown lifestyle. Some summers are packed with plans. Others—like the ones spent in Myrtle Beach—just happen. Suddenly your hair’s full of salt, you’re on a first-name basis with the shaved ice guy, and you’ve forgotten what shoes even feel like. This place doesn’t force the fun. It just sets the scene and lets you fall into your own rhythm. Here’s what that rhythm looks like, Myrtle Beach style. Shells Over Schedules The best way to start the day? Before everyone else. The early birds here aren’t chasing productivity—they’re chasing the tide. Sunrise walks are less about cardio and more about calm. You scan the sand for shells, dodge jellyfish, and listen to waves instead of emails. It’s a reset button you didn’t know you needed. The Ocean Decides Your Calendar Saltwater is the main character. Gym? Never heard of her. Locals squeeze in a swim before breakfast or head out with a paddleboard at lunch. It’s not forced fitness—it’s just what happens when you live three steps from the Atlantic. Everything moves a little slower when you’re working on beach time. Dress Code: “Could Hit the Beach in 30 Seconds” Style here is less fashion, more function. You’ll spot more flip-flops than sneakers and more hats than hairbrushes. A tote might hold sunscreen, a beach read, and snacks, because plans are flexible and the ocean is always nearby. It’s not about looking perfect—it’s about being ready for a detour to the dunes. Seafood Isn’t a Splurge It’s just dinner. And it’s better here. Fresh-off-the-boat shrimp, hush puppies, fish grilled so simply it barely needs seasoning. Whether you’re eating on a waterfront patio or in a shack with paper napkins, the food hits harder with a salty breeze and a view. Bonus points for a cold beer and picnic table seating. Sweet Treats After Sunset You don’t skip ice cream in Myrtle Beach. It’s not dessert—it’s a daily habit. You’ll find families, couples, and solo snackers all lined up outside the same old-school spots with neon signs and long menus. Cones are overstuffed, toppings are generous, and nobody here judges if you go back for seconds. Nights Start on the Boardwalk Where the real show begins after sundown. Where the real show begins after sundown. By evening, the boardwalk turns into a mix of music, lights, and people-watching gold. Street performers, funnel cakes, maybe even a spontaneous dance party. Tourists blend with locals in that half-buzzed, cotton-candy-scented glow only a beach town can pull off. Residents = Part-Time Tourists Yes, even locals still ride the SkyWheel. People who live here still pause for dolphins, stop for sunset pics, and sneak off to their favorite hidden beach spots. The city changes with the season, but it always circles back to the same simple pleasures—sunsets, seafood, and a reason to put off whatever you were supposed to do. Not Just a Summer Fling The energy changes, but the vibe stays. Summer gets the spotlight—long days, busy boardwalks, non-stop everything—but Myrtle Beach doesn’t shut down when the tourists leave. Fall is golden and breezy. Winter brings quieter mornings. Spring smells like fresh flowers and new sunscreen. It’s not just a summer town—it just happens to be really good at it.

Jiffy Lube’s Newest Ocean Highway Spot Is Changing the Way Myrtle Beach Does Car Care

Jiffy Lube’s Newest Ocean Highway Spot Is Changing the Way Myrtle Beach Does Car Care Welcome to the newest Jiffy Lube in town—located on Ocean Highway in Murrells Inlet—where they’re rethinking what car care looks like. With updated amenities, expanded services, and a customer-first model, this isn’t just another oil stop. It’s designed for convenience, comfort, and getting more done in less time. Here’s what stands out. More Than Just an Oil Change The Signature Service® oil change at Jiffy Lube covers more ground than you’d expect. In under 15 minutes, your car gets fresh oil (you pick the type), a new filter, and a full preventive maintenance check. It also includes a visual inspection of key fluids, tire pressure, and other components—plus free fluid top-offs between visits. That’s one less thing to remember in your already packed week. Breathing Easier Starts in the Cabin It’s easy to overlook your cabin air filter, but if the airflow from your vents has been feeling off, or smelling worse, this is the place to start. Jiffy Lube inspects it during service and replaces it if it’s dirty, dusty, or full of who-knows-what. You’ll notice the difference next time the A/C kicks on. The Quick Battery Check That Can Save Your Day You don’t always get a warning when your car battery’s about to go, but Jiffy Lube technicians will check it before there’s an issue. They inspect the condition, test performance, and top off the water if needed (for non-sealed types). If your battery’s seen better days, they’ll walk you through options for a safe, quick swap. A New Lounge, or Stay in the Driver’s Seat If you’re the stay-in-your-car type, you can. If not, the Ocean Highway location has a lounge that looks and feels like an actual break—not a sad corner of a garage. You’ll find Wi-Fi, seating, phone chargers, and even a baby changing station. Honestly, it’s not a bad place to wait. They Handle More Than You Think Need your brakes looked at? Tires rotated? A/C checked? This Jiffy Lube does it all—plus fluid exchanges, engine diagnostics, battery replacements, and even windshield wiper swaps. They’re called a Multicare center for a reason. The Ocean Highway location in Murrells Inlet is the newest addition to Jiffy Lube’s Myrtle Beach network. It’s already pulling in positive reviews for fast service, helpful techs, and a few thoughtful extras, like the unexpected “mini red carpet” customer send-off. This isn’t your average oil change spot. With easy access, no appointment necessary, and more services than you realized were available without a full garage visit, Jiffy Lube on Ocean Highway is setting a new standard. Whether you’re knocking out an oil change or getting ahead of a bigger issue, it’s a stop worth making. Be sure to check jiffylubespecials.com for local offers!

This stylish shopping and dining district knows how to shake up a cocktail and keep things fresh with some of the area’s best happy hour deals. Whether you’re in the mood for crispy wings and local drafts or oysters by the dozen, we found the seven spots doing it right, and doing it daily. Here’s where to go when that clock hits happy. King Street Grille King Street Grille is what happens when a sports bar grows up, goes to culinary school, and adopts a dog. (Yes, the patio is pet-friendly.) Inside, TVs blanket every wall, perfect for game-day fanatics. Outside, a chill patio and scratch-made menu pull in regulars. Happy hour means $1 off most drinks, including cocktails, house liquors, and drafts and a rotating lineup of bar bites like nachos and sliders. Bonus: Buckets of wings and beer are basically tradition on game days. 1229 Shine If you believe in love at first slurp, make your way to 1229 Shine. This coastal-chic seafood haven knows its way around an oyster, offering $1/$2/$3 oysters depending on the type (house, Blue Point, or chef’s choice). They also throw in grilled garlic butter oysters and the ever-fancy Oyster Rockefeller. With live music and a vibe that’s more “breezy cocktail” than “beer pong,” it’s date-night gold for seafood lovers. Location:  Tidal Creek Brewhouse Craft beer fans, this one’s for you. Tidal Creek Brewhouse is equal parts community space and brewery. Think dog park, fire pits, and cornhole—plus craft beer, house-roasted coffee, and one of the friendliest patios in town. Happy hour gets you discounts on pints, cocktails, and select snacks. And yes, they’ve got pretzels. This is the kind of place where you come for one beer, end up staying for goat yoga and a trivia night. Location: 3421 Knoles Street, Myrtle Beach, SC Travinia Italia Kitchen & Wine Bar Need a martini with your meatballs? Travinia brings a little vino and a lot of Italian comfort to the table. Their happy hour includes half-price martinis, $1 off house liquors, $5-$7 wines by the glass, and small plates perfect for nibbling. The bar area offers a nice little lounge vibe, and with occasional live jazz, it’s the kind of place you can actually hear your date talk. Location: 4011 Deville Street, Myrtle Beach, SC  Gordon Biersch Brewery Restaurant This isn’t your average brewery, it’s the kind that brews on-site, serves German-style lagers, and throws in a $2 pint night every Tuesday. Gordon Biersch is known for its house-made beers and hearty apps, like Bavarian pretzels and chicken schnitzel sliders. Happy hour pours include discounts on drafts, house wines, and martinis, along with discounted starters. And yes, the vibe is as welcoming to kids as it is to beer snobs. Location: 3060 Howard Avenue, Myrtle Beach, SC Dirty Don’s Oyster Bar & Grill Part oyster shack, part local hangout, Dirty Don’s is where you go when you want to roll up your sleeves and dive into seafood. Happy hour hooks you up with $0.50 shrimp and deals on crawdads, mussels, clams, wings—you name it. The drinks are discounted too, and the vibe? Think low-key Key West energy with a Myrtle Beach zip code. Bonus points for the trivia nights and fried lobster, which locals swear by. Location: 3090 Deville Street, Myrtle Beach, SC Tupelo Honey Southern Kitchen & Bar Southern hospitality hits its peak at Tupelo Honey, a cozy spot known for its responsibly sourced scratch-made eats. Make Waves: Your Insider Guide to Boating Season in Myrtle Beach

Sandbar parties, jet ski rides, and riverboat cruises, this summer is calling, and your boat’s on line one. If your ideal summer includes the phrase “let’s take the boat out,” then you’re in the right place. From late April through October, boating season transforms the Grand Strand into a floating paradise, complete with dolphin sightings, al fresco cocktails, and the occasional impromptu dance party on the water. Whether you’re renting a pontoon or captaining your own, here’s everything you need to know to cruise through Myrtle Beach’s boat season like a pro. Weather Watch: What to Expect Summer in Myrtle Beach is still serving that humid-with-a-side-of-wow vibe. Temps are hanging in the upper 80s to low 90s, and yes—afternoon storms are still popping off like beach fireworks. But early mornings? Still golden. Cool, quiet, and perfect for a stroll before the sky starts showing off. Here’s what’s ahead: Thursday: High of 87°F, expect some dramatic skies and afternoon storms. Friday–Saturday: Sunny, sticky, and full-on summer mode. Sunday: Breezy and partly sunny with a high of 84°F—basically ideal. Monday–Tuesday: Could start with light showers, but the heat’s coming back strong by lunch. Rule of thumb: get on the water by 10 a.m., and plan your exit before Mother Nature says, “plot twist.” When’s the Season, Really? Boating season officially stretches from late April through late October, with water temps floating comfortably in the 70s and 80s. That said, June through August is peak time—expect crowds, parties, and major tan lines. Pro tip: Fall (September–November) might just be the best-kept secret. The water’s still warm, the air’s less sweaty, and your selfies won’t include 47 strangers in the background. Boat Life Traditions Boating in Myrtle Beach isn’t just a pastime, it’s a vibe. Here’s what the locals are up to: MarshWalk Tie-Ups: Cruise into Murrells Inlet, dock at your favorite restaurant, and grab a drink before floating back out during golden hour. It’s like bar hopping, but the Uber is your boat. Sandbar Saturdays: Head to Bird Island or Hog Inlet, anchor up, blast the playlist, and get ready for shin-deep dancing in the water. Flip-flops optional. Floats mandatory. Float Fridays & Sunday Fundays: Think of these as floating tailgates. Bring your best snack spread and a float shaped like anything but a float (unicorn, pizza slice, inflatable yacht—whatever speaks to you). Salute from the Shore (July 4): Expect patriotic boat parades, beach flyovers, and a full coastal vibe. Where to Boat Here’s your unofficial itinerary: Murrells Inlet: Paddleboard by day, dine dockside by night. It’s also home to dolphin cruises and the famed MarshWalk. Intracoastal Waterway: Calm, scenic, and ideal for newbies or anyone not looking to compete with the Atlantic’s mood swings. Little River: Up near the NC border, this is your gateway to deep-sea fishing or a more laid-back boat launch. Waccamaw River: Cypress trees, Spanish moss, and blackwater tranquility. It’s a quiet flex. Rentals, Passes, and Cruises Myrtle Beach Watersports has the hookup for boat, jet ski, and tritoon rentals—with season passes available. A few notes: Reserve at least 48 hours in advance Fuel’s not included, so factor that into your budget Blackout dates: big holidays like July 4–6 Want someone else to do the steering? Try: Barefoot Queen Riverboat Cruises – These run themed sunset dinner cruises along the Intracoastal. Yes, there’s dancing. Party Cruises – Especially popular in summer. Think rooftop party vibes, but floating. Wildlife Watch Spring: Spot dolphins chasing shrimp boats and nesting sea turtles Summer: Flying fish, jellyfish, and the occasional stingray sighting Fall: Cooler waters bring in redfish, flounder, and migratory birds Winter: Fewer crowds and birdwatching perfection from the water
